New BMW Final assembly 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series
BMW Australia is recalling approximately 10,000 BMW 5-Series and 6-Series vehicles to address a potential defect with the rear-mounted battery cable covers.The technical recall campaign affects 5-Series and 6-Series vehicles produced between March 2003 and September 2010, and applies to all body styles: 5-Series sedan, 5-Series Touring, M5 sedan, 6-Series Coupe and 6-Series Convertible.The recall applies to the previous-generation 5-Series and 6-Series models, and does not affect the current-generation models. The recall is part of a larger global action involving approximately 1.3 million BMW vehicles.
